About Heather Heritage
Cultural Heritage Marketing Expert
I’m originally from Liverpool and now based in Somerset, where I work with heritage organisations across the UK. My career began in museums and art galleries, and I’ve since specialised in helping historic estates and cultural sites bring their stories to life through creative marketing and communications.

After earning a First-Class degree in English and Communications from the University of Liverpool, followed by a Master’s in Digital and Cultural Communications, I began my career at The Bluecoat, combining heritage and contemporary art. I then worked across National Museums Liverpool’s seven museums before joining Hestercombe Gardens in Somerset as Senior Marketing and PR Officer.
In my current role as a freelance social media marketer, my clients include Mapperton, historic home of the Earl and Countess of Sandwich; Kilver Court, an RHS garden and heritage site; Arundells, the stately home of former Prime Minister Sir Edward Heath; WeForest, an international reforestation NGO; and Fana, a fundraising tool for non-profits.
My experience spans:
-
Campaign strategy
-
Media relations
-
Digital content
-
Rebranding
-
Storytelling
All for some of the UK’s most beautiful and historic places.
Today, I work independently with heritage organisations to help them grow their audiences and celebrate the magic of their stories.
